The founder of Wake-Up-Grrl. She holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Windsor, and is currently working on her M.A. in Literatures of Modernity at Ryerson University. She drinks copious amounts of coffee, takes way too many photographs, is an active collaborative artist with Broken City Lab, and is interested in the theories and politics that are intertwined within feminist, underground and community culture.
Newly contributing to Wake-Up-Grrl, Janine has her M.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Windsor, and is hoping after much time spent on applications, that she will be back in school to begin PhD work next fall. She's interested in popular culture, loves to travel, and can find the cute in anything. She remains an active part of the University of Windsor's Feminist Research Group and is interested in how a feminist rhetoric intersects with past and present womens' lives.
